Developer Anthony Giovannetti, who released the hugely popular deck-building roguelike Slay the Spire on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One last year, has announced that there will be an announcement concerning the eagerly anticipated mobile port some time in June.

Slay the Spire has proven incredibly popular with players thanks to its innovative, well-balanced gameplay. It sees you making your way up through a spire, floor by floor, battling enemies and bosses in CCG fashion.

There’s a massive number and variety of cards to collect, as well as several playable characters, creating a huge amount of possible gameplay variation. It’s addictive, too, with each failed attempt immediately spurring you on to try again with a slightly different approach.

Having already suffered a delay from its original 2019 release window, the mobile version of Slay the Spire could finally be just around the corner. Or months off. We’ll find out later this month.
