Dragon Quest Tact is coming to the West, Square Enix has announced on Twitter.
We last wrote about the game just prior to its Japanese launch in July. At that point, no Western version had been confirmed, though it seemed likely that there would be one. And there will.
Directed by Dragon Quest creator Yuki Horii, Dragon Quest Tact is a turn-based tactical role-playing game in which you have to befriend, train, and battle various monsters from Dragon Quest Lore.
Matches take place on a grid, with characters taking it in turns to execute cartoony, over-the-top attacks on each other.
Not only is Yuki Horii attached to the project, but the game boasts the involvement of composer Koichi Sugiyama and monster designs from Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama.
All in all, Dragon Quest Tact looks solid. You can pre-register for the game right now on the Google Play Store.
